Overview
Average day included scheduled talks and sessions in the morning followed by an afternoon in the office with your principal, working on assigned tasks and the weekly project. Coffee chats were encouraged. There were also team building exercises and networking events scheduled throughout the scheme.
Skills
Developed teamwork, collaboration, communication, attention-to-detail, public speaking and time-management skills. Learned how to network efficiently and how to conduct myself in a corporate environment.
Business Insight
The scheduled insight sessions and coffee chats allow you to learn a huge amount about work life at Linklaters regarding work-life balance, types of work, how roles differ from one another and the firm's strategy and values.
Culture
Everyone at every level up to partner was incredibly friendly and open to any questions I had. Scheduling coffee chats was easier than expected and everyone was able to put aside time to speak to me during workdays.
