Skills

Responsibilities
Yes given a significant amount of responsibility. Not given projects, required to network and build my own opportunities to projects which positively challenges me to drive my own development and work on projects that I enjoyed. Led the development of a client proposal and then asked to pitched the proposal to clients in person and ran a workshop taster session.
Support & Guidance
Minimal guidance - on the one hand this significantly developed my confidence and networking abilities as I was required to find my own projects and drive my own development. Required me to ask myself what I wanted out of the internship rather than mindlessly completing tasks. On the other hand, there was a lack of structure and some mandatory elements of expectations could have been communicated better as I was left to identify these elements myself.
Culture
Great company culture, friendly people and a priority on psychological safety which made it a great place to develop and grow my early career. Due to hybrid working the office atmosphere is sometimes great when people are in and sometimes I was the only one in the office.
Your Impressions
Really enjoyed my internship - having connected with great people and having been given the opportunity to work on some challenging and interesting internal projects. While the lack of structure was initially challenging it fuelled significant personal and professional development which was very valuable.
Yes
Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and put yourself out there, due to the super friendly and open nature the company is set up to fail fast - learn fast. There is a lot of opportunity for directing your own development so speak up and share your thoughts and opinions.
