Overview
Typically, I would join a call to discuss an overall picture of the audit client with the team. Then, a colleague would assign me a piece of work, which generally required some coaching. I would ask a lot of questions, but this was expected and encouraged. On some days I could join a call with the client, or complete the e-learning training.
Skills
Learned a huge amount about audit and developed my financial literacy. Improved communication, confidence and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Lots, ability to request documents from the client and speak to them, lots of meaningful tasks, exposure to business. It was difficult to have autonomy, but that is because of the nature of audit requiring certain things.
Support & Guidance
Huge amount of support and guidance from my career coach and my engagement team.
Culture
Really good culture, very friendly, very supportive
Your Impressions
very much so
Yes
To go for it! Also, if you get the job, it's far more casual in the office than i realised. jumpers and non-ripped jeans, rather than shirt and tie!
