Overview
General support to risk modelling teams working with PwC clients. This includes tasks like running automations of data flow through excel spreadsheets and documenting how excel tools work. The work varies a lot and just depends on which project you join.
Skills
I've certainly learnt a lot about how risk modelling operates in the real world, and how PwC interacts with clients. I've also improved my excel skills.
Responsibilities
Some, but given it was only a 4 week internship it's hard to be given much responsibility.
Support & Guidance
I was given a career coach (a senior team member), who was responsible for reviewing my career development, and a buddy (someone new to PwC in the last year) who was generally available for questions and guidance. Everyone was very friendly and supportive.
Culture
Really great company atmosphere. Emphasis on mental health and general work-life balance. The people are very sociable and enjoy spending time with each other. PwC also places great emphasis on social issues such as climate change.
Your Impressions
I had a really enjoyable time.
Yes
Be curious and show your wide range of soft skills as well as technical ones.
