The Role
Average - lots of placements which is great but given very very basic tasks which definitely could be worked on. Comparing now to what placements get at other companies I鈥檝e worked out makes me realise how little I achieved. Great company other than that - great offices and lots to get involved in outside of day job
Honestly, not at all. Felt it was very hierarchical - maybe that鈥檚 just the team I was in I鈥檓 not sure but the team wasn鈥檛 great. Great to have the support of lots of other placement 西瓜视频s though which is a positive as lots of social events with other placements
I would say I did get support - however fairly limited. I had 3 managers so sometimes was tricky to work between them as they were all very different in how they managed. Definitely a learning curve though and helped me understand how best I work with other people and that support is key!
It really varied depending on the time of year! I generally had a lot to fo day to day - even if they were small tasks such as tidying up, cleaning up desks, getting coffee etc but it did keep me busy! The work definitely picked up at the end of every quarter
Limited responsibility however was in charge of a few contracts for the team. I do feel that the company are nervous to give jobs to interns which I completely understand but I feel personally there are ways in which they can manage this better - now I鈥檝e worked for other companies I see how others really do this well
I haven鈥檛 used any of the skills I learnt, the only ones I would say are how to manage upwards, I learnt to stick up for myself, how I like to be managed and that support and line manager relationships are extremely important. I now know what I want out of a job
The Company
most people were really friendly and there were lots of social events such as screenings, staff sales, and placement events too! The office is huge and there are people everywhere which I personally love and most people would be happy to help you out if you needed any help at all
The team I was in had never had a placement before so didn鈥檛 know what work to give me. I also started a lot later than all other placements which I didn鈥檛 like at all as they had all made friends and found their social groups whereas I struggled as I came in later
I wouldn鈥檛 say they really invested much if I鈥檓 honest. I don鈥檛 remember going on any training days or development opportunities. Again comparing vs other companies I鈥檝e now worked for has made me realise how little I got in terms of training from the placement year which is a shame as you don鈥檛 realise at the time.

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Personally I wouldn鈥檛 go back as it鈥檚 not the industry for me. I鈥檝e also moved away from the actual job i was doing at Disney into something Else which I much prefer - maybe this also didn鈥檛 help during my placement that I wasn鈥檛 overly interested in the day job
The Culture
Yes I would say so - I did struggle to settle in as I started later than all other placements which still confuses me. Luckily I knew someone also in the office from my university which enabled me to make friends through her but without her I would have struggled
I lived at home and commuted in - on this wage this was really really hard! 拢16,000 salary but I spent 拢30 a day on travel and then paid rent to live at home so was a massive chunk of money. I didn鈥檛 want to live in London as it didn鈥檛 make sense for me
Not great but this wasn鈥檛 a massive deal for me. Did occasionally go for after work drinks and local bars were fine or you鈥檇 head into central London / local areas nearby so was absolutely fine! Hammersmith had a lot of shops too which was great for lunchtime walks and shopping
Not really to be honest I know other people did volunteering within their teams but my team didn鈥檛. I took part in helping at the staff sales but that was it and I wasn鈥檛 aware of anything else to be honest to get involved in - I would鈥檝e been interested to
