The Role
I enjoyed my placement and certainly enjoyed working for PwC. They seem like a firm who genuinely value employees development.
I was busy throughout my internship so I genuinely felt my work and time was valued, as it contributed directly to the work performed.
All of my in-charges and supervisors, along with other members of the team were happy to provide support as and when I needed it.
Generally very busy. However, I understand that the project I was working on was unusually busy for September. An hour or two overtime each day was common throughout my internship.
I felt like I was given lots of responsibilities and that the work I performed had a genuine impact on the team's performance on a project.
I learned a huge amount. Key areas include Project Management, Time Management, Project Planning along with lots of technical information relating to audit. I also got a chance to work alongside very senior clients and staff members so the exposure to the high level side of business was great, lots of opportunities to learn softer skills.
