The Role
I enjoyed my internship . This was primarily down to the culture of the organisation and the people I was working with. From the start I felt valued and everyone was really helpful.Would recommend anyone considering internships to apply to PWC.
Throughout the internship I felt valued by my colleagues. Whenever there was a piece of work they would give useful feedback and more importantly make me feel valued within the team.
Help was available at every single step. Many of my colleagues were happy to explain/coach me on the tasks and give relevant feedback. They were also happy to answer any questions that I had.
I was quite busy day-to day as there was a lot of work. Once i completed a piece of work additionaly work was given which meant I was busy in terms of work. With that said I did not work as long hours .
I was given plenty of responsibility during the internship. Each day I was responsible for completing a set number of tasks once completed I would be given additional work/as needed.
I have had an ideal opportunity to improve my skillset and hope to apply what I have learnt in assurance in my final year module. Additionally ,as I have been offered a job I will be able to use what I have learnt when I return next year.
The Company
Everyone I met in the office was incredibly friendly. I was invited to lunch with my colleagues and also went for drink quite often with both the other interns and the other people in the office. There was also a table tennis table which gave a good opportunity to network/ speak to people.
The internship was incredibly well organised from the start. The internship started with a 3 day training course in Windsor where all the interns were put in a hotel. The rest of the week was spent having a local induction in the office we applied to. There was also a Dragons Den challenge amongst the interns . All in all it was well structured and there was a lot going on.There were also other events which were organised by someone at the local office.
The first 3 days involved a training course in Windsor. We were put up in a hotel and throughout and the 3 days involved a variety of networking , training and other events. There was also plenty other development opportunities as the internship progressed. The amount of investment from the firm for our personal training and development was highly impressive. We felt highly privileged to be part of the firm from Day 1

The future prospects are incredibly appealing . I was fortunate enough to be offered a role which I have accepted. PWC being a multinational firm offering a range of services is likely to have plenty of future employment prospects ; which may involve secondments in relation to different areas and countries .I look forward to starting .
The Culture
There were plenty of opportunities to socialise with both other interns and other people. At the office there was also a football club for those that were interested. The other interns were easy to get on with and there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy yourself.
The cost of living is not applicable due to the fact I stayed at home . However judging the office is based in West London it is likely to be reasonably expensive. In terms of socializing there are lots of restaurants .Central London is easily accessible by tube from Uxbridge so I could enjoy all the aspects of a great nightlife.
The Nightlife was okay - lots of restaurants nearby but limited in terms of other options.
There were plenty of opportunities to socialise with both other interns and other people. At the office there was also a football club for those that were interested. The other interns were easy to get on with and there were plenty of opportunities to enjoy yourself. With that said there are likely to be more opportunities available as the size of the office increases as these depend upon people running them.
