The Role
I really enjoyed the teams I was drafted into; I managed to fit in well. I appreciated the time they spent coaching me. I liked being on client site as it gives you a varied experience in different environments.
I was often given important tasks to do, and was spoken to as if a normal member of the team, therefore I did feel well valued.
Any questions I had about work or culture, they answered to the full.
Some days I was more busy than others. I think it depends on what stage of the audit you are drafted into. Near the end I had more to do.
I was responsible for individual FSLIs as well as specific tasks within FSLIs. Perhaps I could have been given some more responsibility on some of my shorter jobs.
The skills I gained wont help me in my studies, as my degree doesnt relate to accounting/audit. However if I come back to the firm next year, all my skills will assist me greatly in my job.
The Company
Very chatty but also a desire to get things done.
Very well. I felt looked after all the time. My people's manager kept in contact all the time.
Quite a bit. They are constantly training/coaching me to deliver an excellent service to the client.
You can switch between service lines/offices. PwCs flexible nature as well as its support system make a future here appealing.
The Culture
For me, not so much as it was hard to meet up with people working in London.
Very expensive.
Good. London clubs are great.
Not really, I probably wasn't there for long enough to experience that side.
