The Role
I felt like I learned a lot in terms of technical and communication skills, and enjoyed the majority of coaching I received.
I think this is dependent on engagement, but I felt highly valued throughout all of my engagements and received adequate support and coaching.
I received very helpful coaching by my supervisors both technical and communication wise, such as talking to the client and documenting it.
There were certain days where I was given a lot of work to complete and had to stay later than usual, but sometimes I wasn't given enough tasks.
I was given a decent amount of responsibility that included meeting with the client and documenting the discussion.
I believe the communication skills I learned will help me moving forward.
The Company
Quite relaxed, but there were certain engagements that had a more stressful atmosphere due to deadlines and difficult clients.
Other than a few issues with the central booking system and interns not having access to certain portals, the internship was fairly well organised.
I feel the firm invested a lot of time and money into the interns, in terms of expenses, training, and mentorship.
National Travel
Though there were some aspects of engagements I found stressful, I believe future prospects are fairly appealing.
The Culture
The firm placed a decent amount of emphasis on organising social gatherings.
Cost of living is quite high in the area, which hopefully will be reflected in the salary in the future.
The nightlife was not too exciting, but didn't significantly detract from the internship.
Yes, there were some activities that took place outside of work
