The Role
I did enjoy it and found learning new things made it more enjoyable.
everyone made me feel very welcome and comfortable for every job i worked at.
i was given a a lot of support by my managers and supervisors which allowed me to complete all my work to a high standard
there were times when i was very busy and others when there wasnt as much to do but they came less frequently.
i was given a reasonable amount of responsibility.
I definitely have a better business knowledge because of this but i cant see it helping too much with my chemistry degree...
The Company
The overall atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming which made you feel very comfortable as soon as you start and people cant help you enough.
Extremely well organised with lots of information to help you and made it very easy to acclimatise to the working environment.
We were given E-learns to do to aid our learning whilst at PwC, as well as coaching from supervisors and managers whilst in the office and at jobs.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Job prospects are very positive in the future with PwC although we wont find out about job offers until the second batch of interns have finished their internship in september.
The Culture
In the East Midlands it was harder as people live in various places around the office and the office isnt located close to anything.
The cost of living is very reasonable in the are in which i worked but where i was located in was quite far away from everything.
There is no night life in the East midlands unless you live in Nottingham.
There were opportunities organised by the social group at PwC but they werent particularly frequent.
