The Role
Amazing team of colleagues and fellow interns. Most of the time was kept busy and got involved in exciting projects that involved VAT cases.
Everyone valued me for who I was as a person and exhibited a sense of responsibility for me to learn and get the most out of the internship.
Was guided by my people manager and other staff with whom I worked with. A few people who were meant to support me and guide me could have invested more time into making sure I was occupied with work.
Mostly busy every day attending client meetings and undertaking data analytics/ad hoc work. Days were there when I was unoccupied but was proactive to seek work.
A vast amount; worked on big projects with international and regional clients where I had to undertake research and analyse data for assignments. Attended client meetings where I was expected to take note of the scenario and feed the information to the managers/partners who I attended the meeting with.
The idea of being a lot more organised in sync with time management which I have been fortunate enough to strengthen and develop upon. I have had the chance to strengthen my analytical and logical skills and have had a boost in confidence in terms of networking and building relationships. I am now not afraid to approach professionals and have genuine conversations that reflect life within the workplace and outside work (i.e socialising etc.).
The Company
dynamic, fast paced yet relaxed in the sense that the people were very calm and approachable.
very organised; PWC ensured I had received my laptop on time and put me in touch with various staff to ensure I get as much work as I can to build upon my experience and develop professionally.
the compliance tasks that were compulsory taught me the work ethic and principles of high standard professionalism whilst ensuring I gain the most of my internship through offers of undertaking various types of work.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Very appealing; once in PwC there is an immediate integration within the team and a sense of wanting to build as a professional in terms of understanding the context of work which many people are able to provide support with.
The Culture
everyone in this intake was extremely sociable and we had weekly drinks with people with people that were in and not in my team!
Was absolutely fine.
great selection of bars and restaurants and clubs near the office and covent garden/Leicester Square was very nearby.
not as many opportunities offered by PWC. We as interns had to organise socials ourselves.
