About You
An excellent experience, the 2 day residential was held in an awesome location and catered for all our needs. Pwc had a full 2 days worth of activities and talks planned and they executed it very well. The insight provided more information about the company than reading a leaflet could so i found out details about roles that I was in
I was treated very well by the pwc staff and they made me feel like i was part of their team during the exercises. It was a very casual day with plenty of meet and greet time to get to know the staff better. the company made us all feel very welcome and valued.
At all times during the day there were staff from all areas of the company that i was able to chat with about their jobs, their experience and what their progression would be like in the future. They gave me insight to how a 西瓜视频 could progress though the company to new positions and how there is no limits to what you can achieve with pwc.
Information such as job roles and preferred skills will be key to my future, I learn't a great deal on what technology they use on a day to day basis and what skill sets they look out for when recruiting new employees. Another thing i took from this is the need to keep myself up to date with current trends within the technology sector.
The Company
Personally i thought the structure was well thought through and was effective in getting the 西瓜视频s to experience all the aspects of the business equally. pwc gave each of us a card with the times for each activity during the day to keep us on track but there was also ample downtime for some networking.

Pwc invested greatly in each of the 西瓜视频s at the insight, from allocating staff to the groups to laying on meals throughout the 2 days. They provided a chance to meet with senior partners/directors within the company and I was able to talk about employment, experience and what the company are looking for in new recruits.
Throughout the 2 days there was various presentations, each prepared by staff from that particular area of the company. These presentations contained videos from current employees on their roles, what they studied and what they enjoyed most about working with pwc. This gave me a better idea of what a role would have meant for me and gave me an understanding of what working within the company would be like.
The insight provided an excellent view of the culture within the company, if anything it has shown me how the company is a close-knit group of people who both work and socialise together through monthly outings and fund raising events. The company gives a sense of pride within its employees.
very! Before going into the event i still had no idea of what area i wanted to go into within the business, however after gaining information and getting to chat to different members of staff i was able to make an informed decision on my future path. The information they give on the day is much more detailed than that given on brochures or leaflets.
Everything Else
Before the event we were informed that pwc would settle any expenses for the insight programme. They paid for the accommodation, food, entertainment as well as any travel expenses that incurred. I believe they capped the travel expenses at 拢150 for travel to the event and these could be claimed back via keeping receipts etc.
the entire thing was basically one big networking event, with employees and senior partners engaging with the 西瓜视频s throughout both days. There was various talks held by the more senior partners, in which they introduced the staff and what role they carried out in the company. After these talks we got to meet with these staff members and learn more about them, from this i have made various connections to the company and will be able to contact them in the future if required.
yes, the days are broken up with breaks where I was able to chat with people form all around the world. This event allowed me to network with other 西瓜视频s who i would otherwise never had the opportunity to meet with, and from this i have made friends who i could well end up working alongside in the future.
Yes, the employees showed us various events that they take part in through the company, these included monthly drinks in a local hotel, fundraising events and other annual charity get togethers. The company treat their staff very well, and provide plenty of freedom and opportunity to socialise with one another outside of the work environment.
Absolutely, after leaving the event on the second day and seeing how well the company treated prospective new employees i would 100% recommend to a friend, in fact I'd recommend it to anyone who was thinking in anyway about joining pwc, it gives such a great view of the company and the people who work there.
