About You
I enjoyed the insight very much. We were introduced to many people in the firm such as those in tax, consulting and deals. It provided greater understanding to those that attended about what actually happens in PWC. A great experience by all accounts. The bonus of a night in a five star hotel was also a great incentive!
We took part in the course away from the actual offices which provided a neutral learning environment which was a very good thing. We were extremely valued as we met the director and the majority of the partners o the firm joined us for dinner on the night of day 1. Throughout the programme we met any senior members of the firm as well as many of the new faces.
We received great guidance. From introductions to the ideas the firm raises to genuinely great advice terms of interviews and core competencies. The idea of the program is to provide the absolute best example the firm can in terms of the people we met and the ideas learned. Many members of senior teams were actively intertwined into each of the events we took part in.
As a 西瓜视频 of Finance, the skills learned were superb. In terms of actual technical advice but also advice in relation to career advice in terms of interviews and career progression. It's clear from the involvement many of the firm's members had, that they too believe in this advice and use it on a daily basis in their working lives.
The Company
The insight was very well structured. It was clear that lots of planning had taken place and a lot of effort was put into the programme to ensure it's success. We had a clear timetable individually crafted for each academy participant as well as unique team names. The teams were designed so that you had the opportunity to meet with many people throughout the programme.
Very positive. PWC is a firm that thrives on positivity, Of course very important work is being carried out and this was evident from many staff members engaging in important phone calls periodically. This added to the atmosphere of a professional, positive firm. Throughout the two days, we were encouraged to mingle and mix with many of the other academy members as well as the partners and staff. Inclusivity was the name of the game!
We were invested. We had a debate and were each assigned two important staff members who acted as our mentors to eventually succeed, As well as this direct contact, we were provided with continuous advice as well as the perks of delicious food and five star accommodation. This programme wasn't thrown together, it was meticulously prepared and that was very evident throughout.
A very good extent. From graduates to partners, each team member provided their unique perspectives of working at PWC, and this was advice we all took on board. Throughout the programme, the various workshops and games provided a very good insight into life at PWC and the constant advice was also very useful to understand PWC's operations. The entire program was designed to provide a clear view of life at PWC.
Culture is key these days, especially in finance. PWC is no different. We met many people with shared positive perspectives. We also had an entire workshop dedicated to competencies, the values that ho,d PWC together as a firm. These competencies are key to succeed at PWC in terms of interviews but also life at the firm. The culture and competencies were reinforced throughout the programme.
It's clear that PWC is a very good environment in terms of learning and perspectives created. For me, it reinforced the idea that a career in finance is a very good, exciting one. They did emphasise continuously that PWC's ideas differ very finely from many other finance firms but throughout the programme, these differences were shown to us clearly. For me, PWC is the right fit and I will be pursuing this.
Everything Else
Yes. Throughout the programme, as previously stated we met many very senior members of various teams throughout tax, consulting and many other divisions of the firm. We even met the director of PWC northern Ireland, a very busy man. We had a networking dinner with many partners and people very close to partners. It was clear that they valued us and wanted us to succeed at the firm.
