    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I very much enjoyed this internship. Despite being an intern, I was given important tasks that played a key role to the team and firm. The tasks were challenging, exciting and a good reflection of what working in the team would actually be like. My experience was enhanced by how welcoming and friendly the team was.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was never valued less for being an intern/junior. My colleagues would always seek my suggestions and consider them, which they highly valued.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My People Manager as well as Project Managers were highly supportive and always provided guidance when needed. They took the initiative to make sure I was fitting well into the team and that my tasks were manageable. Whenever I needed guidance, they would never hesitate to provide clarification or help.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was busy with multiple ongoing projects and this provided me with an exciting challenge of time management. However my managers and colleagues made sure I was not overworking and that I maintained a good work/life balance at work.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was assigned key roles on most projects with a couple of opportunities to lead and manage a project independently.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned a plethora of skills during my internship, which are highly transferrable and applicable to any job.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere was very friendly and inviting. It did not feel hierarchical and colleagues from very senior positions were always willing to chat or provide guidance, when needed.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship process was very well structured and explained prior to us starting, hence we knew what to expect. Timelines and expectations were adhered to, making the process seamless. However, post-internship administrative processes could be better managed.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm was very open to providing opportunities for the interns. For example, I requested to learn a new tool for one of my projects and my Manager agreed to grant me this opportunity. Along with the other interns, we requested to join several training sessions and all of them received approval from the firm.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Just received a job offer from them, which I have very happily accepted! I look forward to joining the team and firm.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement 西瓜视频s/colleagues?
  • Yes, the interns were always invited to social events e.g. leaving drinks with the rest of the team. Furthermore, interns across different Lines of Service would regularly organise social events so you have plenty of opportunities to socialise and make new friends!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Living / socialising in London is definitely not cheap but if you go further out of central London, its affordable.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good - many options in central London. There are also a lot of areas for Nightlife within travelling distance from my area of work.

    4/5

  • Interns were invited to other activities outside of work e.g. Dragons Den event, sports events etc.
