The Role
My placement was hard work throughout the year, with steep learning curves and several exams to study for, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and have learnt a lot.
With all of my colleagues I felt truly valued, and as though I was an asset to the team and firm.
Support and guidance is readily available, any questions or issues I had throughout the year were quickly resolved.
There was always something to be working on, during busy season (Jan-March) the days were longer with a greater number of tasks to be completed but the workload tends to ease off during the summer months.
The level of responsibility is largely determined by you, if you don't feel comfortable with the work assigned to you there is often an opportunity to discuss this with a senior and potentially reduce the level or if you're not finding the work challenging enough you could request greater responsibility. I had a reasonable amount of responsibility during my placement, which provided challenging but do-able work.
During my placement, I feel I have developed a variety of skills which will help me in the future. One of these being the ability to balance, work, social activities, and exams - this will be key during my final year at university.
The Company
Atmosphere in the office is usually great, a balance of social and work activity. Although, completing a placement in audit means you are out of the office for at least 50% of the time.
The placement was well organised with regard to exam structure and start/end dates.
During the placement, I completed several of the ACA exams which is a great opportunity as many other firms do not offer this - you have to wait to be a graduate. As well as this I had many weeks of training to improve my work skills which were also very useful.

I have been offered a job to return after my final year of university with PwC, on the basis that I achieve at least a 2:1.
The Culture
Among placement 西瓜视频s, not so much as there aren't many within the firm. However, you join with a whole intake of other graduates and complete everything that they do, so the social activities there are really good and everyone gets along really well. As well as this, there are many socials that take place throughout the year across all levels of staff which are great fun too.
Cost of living and socialising in London was high, but it was a great experience.
Endless nightlife opportunities in Central London!
There are a variety of clubs/activities to get involved with, there are language activities, netball, running and football teams among many others which are all found on a PwC internal site accessible to all employees.
