The Role
Loved having the opportunity to work with clients from the start. Was very nicely integrated into the office which made my internship even more enjoyable. I liked the fact that there is no hierarchy within the workplace at PwC and superiors, just like peers, are always willing to help out when in need.
My colleagues made me feel at ease as soon as my first day. I've enjoyed the fact that I have had the chance to work with many different people and get to know more and more of the office. I was constantly receiving verbal feedback on my welldoing too. I was able to sit on very important meetings about clients/the office
My manager was always here to help if I had an issue or if I had run out of work. As for the supervisors on jobs, they as well were always willing to lend a helping hand in order to make me progress throughout my internship.
I was always kept very busy. On the few occurences when I wasn't booked on a job, people in the office were more than willing to help me find some work.
I was made to interact with the client both face to face and through email as soon as my first day on site. I was always introduced to as an associate and not as an intern.
Having studied financial mathematics at university, it was great to be able to see that the content of my module was being applied to the career path I want to take. I have also gotten myself familiar with more technical terms whilst I have been on my intership which I am sure I will be using throughout my final year at university.
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was always excellent due to the fact that because the office is so small, everyone knows each other very well. I was able to go to a work social during my time at PwC which really helped the office bond. It was a great chance to get to know everyone and the new grads were invited too to give them a chance to meet the office before starting their employment in September.
The induction and internship were very well set up. The only downfall on my side was the fact that for my last 2 weeks I wasn't booked onto anything and that for the 2nd and 3rd weeks I had to find a new job due to my assigned job not being available to me anymore. So I would like if in the future resourcing could look into the matter further in order to avoid any sort of confusion.
I was very lucky to be given a lot of responsibility from quite early on. From my first day I was made to document EGAs and eventually went to testing. I am now comfortable when using the firm's applications. I also got given the opportunity to shadow 2 directors who were both really keen to see me learn and find out about what it is they do. I believe the firm invested a lot in its interns as it is clear from the start that PwC wants its interns to be trained for a graduate job.

Hoping to get my job offer so I can join the firm as a graduate!
The Culture
Yes, I was able to keep in touch with all the interns from the Yorkshire offices and would meet them every Friday or so. I also was able to keep in touch with interns from the manchester, Birmingham and London offices. The social scene during the induction was very good, it was a great way to get to meet other people in my position.
I have been commuting from Leeds to Hull everyday so my cost of living and socialising has been that of a 西瓜视频 which is relatively cheap. The biggest expense would have been my traveling to and from the Hull office
N/a. Have not gone out in Hull. Yet, 10/10 for Leeds
