The Role
I have really enjoyed my placement at PwC and feel that I have learned a lot during my time here. It was a friendly environment to work in and all the people that I worked with were very kind and helpful.
All of my colleagues were very helpful and ready to help when I asked questions.
I was given support and guidance before starting jobs and regularly when asked for it.
In general there was always a lot of work to be done, and I would often stay past my finishing time.
I was given my own work to complete, however, like all work, my work was reviewed by at least one other person.
I think that I have gained valuable communication and teamwork skills that will assist me in my future greatly. It has been extrememley beneficial to me to work around clients, and has helped develop my confidence.
The Company
In general the office had a friendly atmosphere, and everyone was very helpful and liked to make work fun.
Everything was well organised, and all my client site visists arranged for me, except from transport.
There was a week's worth of trainging, 3 days of which were a residential induction in Windsor. These were made as enjoyable as possible and were a good opportunity to network with other people from around the country. We all received further training through e-learns over the 6 week period and were given a good quality laptop to use over the placement.
Future prospects within PwC look extremely appertising and I will definitely look further into pursuing a graduate job here.
The Culture
There was a good social scene, and we regularly organised social events with fellow interns.
I live near Birmingham and so commuted from home. Price of living not much different to usual.
Live in the area, it's a big city so good night life!
Yes, there is a social at the end of each month and regular sports outside of work.
