The Role
I greatly enjoyed my internship, the work was engaging and the environment was very friendly and fun.
I felt completely valued, I didn't feel like just an intern, but another employee who could work on whatever was needed.
I was given lots of support by management, they were happy to help with any questions I had, and give me work they thought would be useful for my development.
I had a great balance of having a good amount of work to do, but not being overwhelmed.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility, but not too much to feel pressured right at the start.
I feel the general skills I have learned will help me work in any professional environment.
The Company
The atmosphere was great! It was fun and friendly.
I could tell that PwC put a lot of effort and value into the internship process, it felt very refined.
I felt very valued. PwC considers the internship an investment in a future employee, not just a short 6 week excursion for us to put on our CVs
Company Parties/Events
I haven't found out if I get a job yet, but it seems that almost all the interns do. We have already gone through the same selection process that the grads do, so this is more of a taster to see if we are the right fit.
The Culture
There were about 10 of us in the North region (leeds, sheffield and hull), and we often met up outside of work to socialise.
I worked in Leeds, which isn't a very expensive place to live in.
The bars we went to were all great.
There were quite a lot of activities, although not all were ones I personally would be interested in, and a lot of the activities that were happening were happening just after/before the internship (by coincidence). I could tell though if i worked here full time there would be a lot of activities I could join in with
