About You
Really enjoy the open day experience. Started promptly and well organized. A good opportunity to get a basic concept of what an assessment center is going to be and quite good to practice your team work skills and find what you are good at what you need to do to improve. Might be better if we could go out of the room and see more about the company. Also you will have the chance to talk to recent employees from different lines. Might be better if they could stay a little bit longer cause it was a quite short lunch time and not every one might have the chance to talk to one of them.
The host, James, did quite a lot to support every team and the guidance was clear and well informed. Also, during one of the group exercises recent employees went around to each group and we could ask them for additional help in terms of technical words or anything we were not familiar with.
The Company
Very well structured. First a short video about PwC. And then some group exercises. Then lunch time and followed by one small quiz about commercial awareness and PwC and then one more group task and introduction about application process, online tests and some tips about the application. We were informed about the agenda at the beginning and everything went smoothly.
Nice atmosphere. The peers in our group were really nice and we discussed about our group tasks very well. People from other groups were nice as well as we all chatted with each other during break or lunch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were willing to explain anything and willing to tell you everything they knew about the company and their job. Quite a good experience.
This is only a one day open day event, so not very applicable. But actually a company that is willing to invest in events like this open day is definitely going to invest more in your future development once you join them. As far as I know, PwC invest a lot in supporting people in graduate scheme in studying for qualifications and developing relevant skills and career progression.
Very helpful. Through chatting with current employees we could be about a get an idea about what it is like working in PwC. Might be better if there could be more employees and they could stay a little bit longer. The company also has many community work and charity work for their employees which I think is a good point.
Very helpful. Through talking to different employees and through the introduction given by the host we could get an idea about the culture in PwC. I feel that everyone is confident and friendly. The company do put its people first and invest a lot in them. The current employees also mentioned about the good work-life balance working in PwC which is another good point.
I was thinking about applying for PwC before but not decided. After today's open day I think I definitely going to have a try. The event makes me more familiar with the application process and more familiar with the company. Hope that there would be some more introductions on what each service line does and what is a typical day is like.
Everything Else
Based in London so no need.
Yes, we had opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company. They are from different service lines. But no legal ones. They are all very nice and some of them are recent employees joining PwC 1 or 2 years ago. Might be better if they could stay longer so we could have time talking with them or if there could be something like a networking events for 西瓜视频s.
Yes. One employee mentioned that they had a theatre at West End and every year PwC involved some 200 children from disadvantaged schools to perform on the stage and show their talents. It is generally a few thousand people event so quite big. That is a quite good point so employees not only focus on their work they could also contribute to something they like and beneficial to the society.
Yes definitely. A very good chance to get to know the company more and get to know the application process more. Also a very good opportunity to have an exercise of group task since it will come up in the assessment center stage of application and we do not usually have the chance to practice that.
