    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the internship very much. The office that I was working on was full of great people who were very bright, but also liked to have a good time. Internship events were also enjoyable and being put up in hotels doesn't hurt.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • From day one I felt part of the office team. No matter how simple the tasks I was set, I was made to feel as though they brought value to the project.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There is a very strong coaching culture within the firm at all stages and I was always able to approach someone when I needed to ask questions. This is actively encouraged.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As the internship was during the slow season the degree of work varied quite a bit. There were times when I was available without any set work but on most occasions sending out an email to job managers resulted in work being allocated to me. While on client sites I was usually quite busy and on occasion did have to stay late to finish off with the team.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Again, this varied with the workload. On one client we were slightly stretched and so it was necessary for me to take on more responsiblity, on others it was more "ticking and bashing" type work.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I've developed will help me in my future career Immensely. Although my degree isn't very related to the audit field I'm sure it will also help me indirectly in my last year.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very welcoming. Everyone is very bright and very good at what they do, but at the same time the vast majority of people also love to have a good time and a laugh.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • For the most part I was aware of my schedule, although this changed slightly due to client cirumstances and there were also times that I needed to pursue my own workload.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Heavily. The internship began with three days residential training in a nice hotel and then a further two days of training at the local office. Throughout the internship I also received a lot of coaching and got to have another week's stay in a hotel during an away job.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Very appealing. I have been offered a graduate position and intend to accept it.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement 西瓜视频s/colleagues?
  • Yes I went for drinks several times with colleagues and played in the office football team. I was also able to attend the office summer ball within my first week.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Crawley is relatively expensive due to its proximity to London.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not great in the town, however neighbouring cities Brighton and London are obviously a lot better.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, socials and sports teams.

    4/5
