The Role
i really enjoyed my time at PwC, i lookedforward to going to wokr everyday and learning new things and meeting new people
despite being an intern i was given independence, respect and responsibility just as any other member of the team would
i had a buddy and a people manager who were alwasy available to met or message should i eed somehelp. not only that but everyone in the office was happy to help if you approuched them with a problem
some days i was really busy. but there were also days which were quiet which gave m time to write up feedback or do e-learn. it was a very varied few weeks, most days i would go to the office not knowing what i would be doing that day. the variety and chnage of dynamics was what made the role really enjoyable. at sompoints i didnt have any work for anyone and i would have to do e-learns all day, these days weren't so enjoyable because i really was keen to get involved
i was given a very good amount- not so much that i would feel anxious or nervous to do work but given enough that i felt i wasn't continually being watched and was able to work independently. also, over my time at pwc, the more i learnt, the more responsibility i was given
very much so. i recall my first and second yea at uni were a real struggle when it came ot using excel or computers in general- now i feel really competant with excel and have picked up key skills which save so much time. this will deifnately help me throughout the rest of my degree and in life as a whole. also, the exposure i have had to looking at accounts is also going to be really useful if i take accountancy modules next year or i every start my own business
The Company
the atmosphere was quite varied depending on the team you were working for. but on the whole i felt that everyone was welcoming each day. i alwasy felt 'at home' at the office and safe to leave my belongings around while i went to the toilet or to get a drink. the atmoshphere ar the office was probably a key reaosn why i looked forwrad to going to wokr each day. the people i worked with made the job really enjoyable
generally, the internship ran really smoothly. i did have a few issues with resourcing- i was double booked once and some weeks they couldnt find me any work at all so i had to go and find my own which was sometimes difficult.
alot. every time i was put on a job i would be assigned a personal coach who worked alonside me on any task i was given. they would sit with me as long as i needed, explaing the task and teaching me the skills i would need ot complete it.

i really hope i can go back to PwC as a graduate next year. i feel the internship wasn't long enough and i would have liked one more week at the office
The Culture
yes. once month (so twice throughout my time at pwc) there were drinks where we got free drinks coupns. as well as this the induction week was help in london where there was lots of netowkring opportunites.
quite expensive but often pwc paid a lot towards it
i didn't go out with the interns
there was squash and badmiton events if you wished to get involved
