The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship with PwC, I found it challenging and rewarding.
I felt I could really help on my project, I was continually challenged with tasks and often praised for my contributions.
Lots! If asked, people were always willing to help. I found everybody to be approachable and friendly and as the weeks went by I needed less and less support as I got to grips with the project and tasks required of me.
It varied, some days were incredibly busy and some less so. I found asking if I could help ensured I was given lots of tasks and also that I was adding value to the team.
I was lucky in a sense regarding the team of my project and found I was given a lot of responsibility an client interaction. I do think it varies project to project but being pro-active helps.
I developed many skills and learnt about different programmes and processes PwC use. I was able to work on and develop my Excel skills. I spoke to several members of the Economics & Policy team at PwC learning about Health economics in practice.
The Company
Friendly and inclusive, offices are quite open so there is a lot of interaction and support.
Well, I found being on oneproject for 8-weeks meant you had time to merge well with the team and gain some trust and responsibility.
In terms of development my project team greatly invested in me, I was able to visit different PwC offices and attend study eventsrun by PwC to get a better oversite of the company and the lifestyle. I was given lots of opportunities to prove myself and help out.
Working from home
Very appealing, I would be glad to work for PwC, its a large company with many opportunities.
The Culture
Yes, there are monthly socials after work. But beyond that I went out with my team members and also other interns/graduates probably once a week.
Reasonable.
Good, lots of bars and clubs.
Yes, there are lots of societies and socials.
