About You
The insight was very informative, offering a wide variety of presentations to gain our business knowledge. the program itself was intensive but offering many opportunities to ask questions, and socialise with employees and other 西瓜视频s. The group project was aimed at developing our teamwork and communication skills. The division presentation was informative and the exercises allowed participants to engage with specialists.
We were well looked after, and there was ample opportunities to question PwC employees. all of the employees had a wealth of experience and knowledge to share with the participants.the program was well organised, with little complications. All questions received full and engaging answers, and personal matters were dealt with effectively.
The presentation for assurance gave great insight, offering a look into the tasks undertaken by a team member and the responsibilities they have. There was also an insight into the process for becoming an accountant. There was an opportunity to develop my commercial awareness and understand the issues of sustainability allowing me to consider issues from different perspectives. These informative presentations and exercises offer a more informed decision to were you apply to in future applications and the division.
The Company
The program was organised very well, all the employees were well informed and prepared thoroughly to give informed presentations. The itinerary was packed, but broken up by breaks meaning no participant was bored. the program took place in one location, and all of the conference rooms were close, allowing ease of access. There was also many opportunities to contact the team with any issues for participants.
the atmosphere was positive, and energising, as the PwC team were engaging in their talks, and offering opportunities to ask questions. there were games to help break the ice with the participants, and by the end, most participants made plenty of friends. There was a dinner with more senior members at PwC, which was a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, and introductions of each member meant set a positive and fun tone for the entire evening.
the employees leading division specific presentations fully described their role within the firm, what they did on a daily basis and how this changed throughout their career. As networking opportunities were abundant throughout the entire Talent Academy, many employees were happy to talk about how their days would pan out. there was many exercises which simulated skills required to succeed at PwC, while technical skills were also alluded to and an exercise to be completed, offering insight into the exact nature of assurance.
there was a session specifically tailored to help 西瓜视频s understand what the culture fostered at PwC is, and was a theme throughout the entire course of the program. The employees showed this through their own behaviour, and were open to answer questions while also having participants consider examples where they have shown the traits that PwC look for. Even though no part of the program occurred in PwC offices, it was clear what the workplace culture was like.
Everything Else
there was opportunities at the end of sessions where the employee running it would be more than happy to share their details and invited participants to continue asking any questions they may have. there was also a specific networking session before dinner where senior partners engaged with participants, offering networking opportunities. dinner was also a great opportunity to network and have more meaningful conversations with partners.
there are numerous activities which PwC employees are able to be involved in. there are days off offered to employees in order to participate in charitable work, of the employees choice, while fundraising was matched by the company for employees. there are also sports teams which compete with other businesses in a league, catering for a variety of sports. Networking events for employees were mentioned, to help build relationships in new divisions.
I would recommend the Talent Academy to a friend as it develops a whole host of skills, while also increasing your knowledge about PwC and the professional world.it is a strong stepping stone to help secure a summer intern ship. the specific skills gained can be completely new ones while the experiences allows personal development. the atmosphere, the employees and the other participants make the Talent Academy well worth the application process and allows you to be around like minded people.
