About You
It is quite enjoyable (tiring though!). I made a lot of new friends and developed networking skills - admittedly, my peers all seem to be very strong, which makes me feel that I really have to work harder for further personal development. I would certainly recommend this program for my friends.
There are many opportunities to develop and display our skills and values, including case studies during elective sessions, networking sessions on the first day, and the final debate. I do wish there could be more opportunities though. I think I could make fuller use of these opportunities, which I sadly did not.
Prior the insight program, we were sent instruction pack, which was handy. During the 2-day program, there are always friendly PwC staff offering us generous help. I do wish there could be more guidance about the debate session - probably watch a video from previous years? The networking session offers us a precious opportunity to know more about PwC.
There is a PwC professional session which introduces the 5 PwC core values: whole leadership, business acumen, global acumen, technical capabilities, and relationships. There are also elective sessions about sustainability, diversity, commercial awareness, and relationship. I think these skills are quite useful. The debate session is a good opportunity to develop and demonstrate these skills.
The Company
Overall, it is well structured. HOWEVER, for some of the sessions individually, the structure can be improved; for example, the presentation about consulting is slightly inattentive. It might be a good idea to put the PwC professional session on the first day morning, as I feel it is the most important part of the Talent Academy.
Everyone is truly friendly, not only peers but also PwC staff. It was a quite intense programme, but the living condition at the hotel is very good. The dinner on the first day lasted slightly too long - I think we could probably shorten the pre-dinner drink time. I enjoyed the two days at Talent Academy, and I did develop a better insight about the PwC firm.
