About You
I enjoyed this insight because I got to meet a lot of experienced people who really helped me understand what is it like to work at PwC. I also received further insight of the tasks required at the assessment centre, as well as the general application process.
Everyone was very friendly and they would explain concepts to me if I was confused.
I received a lot of guidance about how the assessment centre process. We went through simulations of group activities and understood what commercial awareness means. This was very helpful because being a first year without much work experience, commercial awareness was an area that I needed more information about.
The skills I learned today will help me in future group activities. The idea of commercial awareness will also encourage me to read more articles about the business and finance world.
The Company
There was a clear structure and flow. Starting with a introductory video, then gradually moving into commercial awareness and a business game, finally delving into the application process.
Everyone was very friendly, and fellow peers were also very engaging in our discussions.
This is not applicable since this is just an open day and there was no training.
This insight helped me understand some of the core skills required to work at PwC, but since I haven't really worled on real tasks, I am not entirely sure about what it is like to work here.
The fun facts that the staff shared with us provided some insight into what the company culture is like, but since I haven't worked here it is not very clear.
The content really helped me understand some of the demands of a career in business and finance. It also gave me a clearer idea about some of the key qualities that PwC is looking for in candidates.
