  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed this insight because I got to meet a lot of experienced people who really helped me understand what is it like to work at PwC. I also received further insight of the tasks required at the assessment centre, as well as the general application process.

  • Everyone was very friendly and they would explain concepts to me if I was confused.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I received a lot of guidance about how the assessment centre process. We went through simulations of group activities and understood what commercial awareness means. This was very helpful because being a first year without much work experience, commercial awareness was an area that I needed more information about.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I learned today will help me in future group activities. The idea of commercial awareness will also encourage me to read more articles about the business and finance world.

  • There was a clear structure and flow. Starting with a introductory video, then gradually moving into commercial awareness and a business game, finally delving into the application process.

  • Everyone was very friendly, and fellow peers were also very engaging in our discussions.

  • This is not applicable since this is just an open day and there was no training.

  • This insight helped me understand some of the core skills required to work at PwC, but since I haven't really worled on real tasks, I am not entirely sure about what it is like to work here.

  • The fun facts that the staff shared with us provided some insight into what the company culture is like, but since I haven't worked here it is not very clear.

  • The content really helped me understand some of the demands of a career in business and finance. It also gave me a clearer idea about some of the key qualities that PwC is looking for in candidates.
