The Role
Very valuable work and given a lot of responsibility; sometimes workload was very high and computer system was difficult to navigate.
Friendly atmosphere but was lucky to get a friendlier line manager than many other interns
Support is there if you ask, unless people are away on leave
Start and end were slower but middle was very busy
The work would have been done by someone else in the project team or by a contractor if it had not been me (not just an academic exercise).
Good for oil & gas industry
The Company
Relaxed atmosphere because it was a design engineering office
Changes to the company graduate programme and number of roles available.
Had just one presentation skills course
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Graduate programme is changing though
The Culture
Shared a house; definitely a good idea
Outer London area
No nightlife in Sunbury but OK to commute to London
Work took up most of the day
