About You
To a large extent I enjoyed this one day insight programme having the opportunity to ask questions on specific graduate roles.
The people were extremely friendly and kind, they are very open minded professionals and easy to approach when in need to ask questions. We even got "BP goodies" at the end of the day.
A lot, there was times the talkers would stop and answer people questions when they wanted. They really seemed passionate about what they do which ultimately has a positive influence on the people watching.
For instance, the steps I need to take to get where they are. They gave examples of people that are doing the same degree who now work in the firm.
The Company
Seamless, we were given out the structure of the day - timetable and it was well-followed, considering it was such a tight schedule.
Fun, the speakers were very interactive and even entertaining and the end of the day we had a mildly competitive trading game.
They really put a foot in to help you decide if it's right for you and provided as much information as they can. It's just an insight but the questions you ask is what makes your insight worth it.
Significantly understood what it's like to be a Trader at BP and even the other streams they offered. We have talks from a variety of workers who were all involved in different roles, they explained what they do and influenced others to do what they do.
Very very helpful, we had a tour of the outstanding modern Trading floor of today, we saw different departments and roles people do on the floor and had a speaker to talk us about everything they do.
Very valuable as the help with the information that they provide, they don't just tell us about information they also explain how you could get there and how they actually got in the position they are in today.
Everything Else
It's optional whether you want your expenses reimbursed. You have to complete a reimbursement form and submit it.
Yes, throughout the day we spoke to different people within the firm and we were all split into small groups throughout the tour with different speakers.
Very good, we were given out nice snacks and food at the beginning where we could all socially amongst ourselves.
Yes, we had someone from the HR team talking about what they do. The best way to find out is to actually work there.
Yes I already have, the insight is great as it can help you to decide whether trading is right for you. Trading isn't for everyone but a mildly competitive trading game can distinguish those who are right for the job.
