The Role
The role was very challenging and it improved the skills and put to test the knowledge I've gained at University.
Even as an intern I felt like a full time employee. Everyone is very approachable and you will never feel alone with any issues.
My manager as well as mentors were always keen on helping me and answered all my queries. Even with their busy schedule they were able to find time to guide me through the year.
You can choose which projects you want to get involved, hence how busy you will be is totally up to you.
There's an opportunity awaiting in every Microsoft department and I was happy to get involved in a variety of different projects. The responsibility was always adequate to my knowledge, skills and confidence. Don't worry, no project will be dumped on you if you don't want it.
The skills I have gained have already proved useful when preparing for my dissertation. Using different resources and time management are key skills that I have gained.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere.
Staffing team did a great job putting the internship together and organized an offsite event as well as many other events that happened throughout the year. There was always something to look forward to!
