About You
I enjoyed the Lab visit and tour of some of the facilities.
The mock interviews gave us an insight on how to approach the application process in the future.
Networking sessions allowed us to understand the support system within BP.
The mock interview session at the end helped in preparing us for future internship and graduate application.
The Company
There was a clear agenda although there were time delays due to the lab visit. Overall, it was packed with activities throughout the day, and conducted well.
The participants were very supportive and friendly to each other. Graduate recruiters were helpful and lively thus the atmosphere was generally positive.
As it was a one day insight day, it was difficult to conduct development session. However, the group mock interview was helpful although a personal interview practice may be even more useful.
We were able to understand the day in life of a graduate in BP, ie a Challenger. There was limited exposure to higher management staff except for a technical leader within geosciences.
The lunch networking session was useful in allowing us to understand the international working culture within BP.
This exposed us to a wide spectrum of roles in the company aside from the traditional off shore engineering and production engineers expected of an upstream business.
Everything Else
Participants who live 3 hours or more away from the venue is eligible to apply for accommodation near the location.
Yes. networking opportunities were abound with the technical graudates, research leaders in the labs and other graduate recruiters throughout the day.
The lunch networking and lab session allowed us to understand the company employees better and the working culture in various team projects.
There was a presentation on non work activities.
I would recommend it due to its short length yet insightful day.
