About You
The discovery day was a very well organised, pleasant day that allowed a good insight into the company. The organisation and friendliness of all the staff made the day extremely enjoyable
Due to the nature of the event, with it only lasting a day, the members of staff did very well to make us all feel very welcome and valued for the duration of the day.
Many different members of staff from many different fields of work offered a lot of insight into life at BP and the guidance given by some of the staff members during the informal lunch was to a great standard,
The day involved an opportunity to improve on interview and application skills which will be extremely useful in the future.
The Company
The day was very well structured, with all members of staff knowing what to do with us at every point in the day.
Everyone was very welcoming during the day, and being that we all studied engineering, we all had a common interest around which to discuss and break the ice, this made it easier to make friends at the beginning of the day.
Advice was given for applications and interviews by the same members of the company who would read our applications and interview us.
It was made very clear what life was like working for BP, and what opportunities were available to us working for BP.
With BP being a multinational company, it was made there are many different cultures all to be found in BP.
The day certainly helped in showing the exciting opportunities available when working for BP, or the oil and gas sector.
Everything Else
Travel and accommodation was reimbursed.
Yes, we had the opportunity to have lunch and meet many of the companies workers.
A lot was said about the social aspect of working for BP and the events available, e.g skiing and sports.
Definitely,it was a well structured day which anyone with an interest in the oil and gas sector should attend.
