About You
Discovery day was very enjoyable - found it very insightful and the activities arranged were both enjoyable and informative.
It was a discovery day, so there was no real need to feel valued, although we did feel as if a good effort had been made, especially as we were only there for a day.
Again, no guidance needed, but a lot of information was given us.
Made me more aware of what I wanted to study in order to pursue my ideal career.
The Company
Very well organised.
Friendly, ice-breaker worked really well, and we ate breakfast/lunch together so we interacted with each other, as well as the employees, very well.
No opportunity for this on the Discovery Day.
Very well, a round table networking session was organised so we got a great insight into this, considering the short time we were there.
Again, the networking session was great for this, as well as the careers talk. Got a good view of this in a short time.
Pretty good, attracted me to BP and the oil sector in general.
Everything Else
Possibility to be reimbursed costs of travel, which was also organised if it was a difficult journey.
Yes - the round table networking session, as mentioned before. We also got talks from senior employees and a tour of the complex, so we got varied exposure to the employees.
Very good, plenty of opportunity to interact with the other people attending the discovery day as well as current employees.
Yes, plenty of social activities, as well as sports on the BP complex at Sunbury.
Certainly, it gives a real feeling of whether or not you would enjoy a job at BP, and you also learn much more about each role than you would do via internet research. Also gives some useful tips for online applications.
