The Role
I very much enjoyed my work as I was given a variety of projects.
The work I was doing need to be done and if I wasn't there somebody else would have to do it.
At the beginning my manager helped me but after that he became busy so I need to seek some guidance from other employees.
Some days were more busy than others. But on average I was in the office 8:30-5:45
My main project was solely my responsibility.
The skills I gained will not necessarily be used in my final year but they will definitely be used in future jobs e.g. IT skills (SAP, FileNet, Intercompany Process webpage tool etc) and project management skills.
The Company
My office was very quiet, I can't say what it is like in other teams. However all my team was friendly and provided me with help when I asked.
HR did a great job introducing the interns to BP, they also held numerous events throughout the internship. Not sure if it's HR's responsibility but I feel I could have had more help at the beginning of the internship setting up my system access and all my logins/passwords.
BP has numerous IT courses that you can sign up to and do during work hours. The interns also had a workshop on presentation skills.

I would definitely like to work for BP after uni, the only thing that may be out of my control is if business restructuring affects my potential roles.
The Culture
Fairly good scene from what I have heard. Some interns lived together over the summer so they did things together. I met up with a couple of people from work individually. But most of my sociallizing is done with non-work related people.
I already lived near Canary Wharf so didn't move closer to Sunbury for the job. Obvously cost of living in London is high. I also needed to have a zone 6 travel card.
Don't know if there is any night life in Sunbury?! Train ride from Feltham to Waterloo is about 30mins.
Not sure what this question means? If you mean like work activities after work that aren't "nightlife" then there are only a few I went to.
