The Role
It was very enjoyable. I was kept busy most of the time and learnt a lot about the bank.
My colleagues welcomed me very warmly and treated my like an equal.
My line manager was very helpful. He made sure that I enjoyed every little bit of my internship and allowed me to look into other divisions of the group.
There were both quiet days when I had plenty of time to explore more about the products but there was also plenty of busy days when I had an opportunity to attend client meetings.
I was given plenty of responsibility but would also like to take on some more challenging work.
Most definitely skills for life. I have always struggled with soft skills and this internship gave me many fantastic opportunities to develop them and apply them on a day-to-day basis.
The Company
Everyone was very happy about their daily responsibilities and we had great fun during lunchtimes.
I experienced some issues with lack of access to crucial systems however overall I felt the whole internship was organised fairly well.
Plenty of internet based resources were made available to me.

Very appealing. I most certainly hope that I will get this job as RBS is a wonderful company to work for.
The Culture
We went out for lunch quite frequently and organised our own socials.
Since I lived at home, living costs were not applicable. Socialising wise, I guess they were ok but it was still worth-while walking slightly further away from the city centre.
Plenty of pubs and bars.
Fantasy football team, bowling, you name it.
