    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • On the journey to BP I was extremely nervous. When I got there, the staff were very welcoming which helped ease the stress. Then, once the programme started, I was relaxed and really couldn't help but enjoy myself.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • No matter who you spoke with, everyone without exception, was warm, friendly and welcoming. There's no 'them and us' attitude between managers and staff which I've had bad experiences of in the past.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The day was well planned and had just the right amount of attendees so that we could all benefit from the day's events without having to jostle for a place to see/hear what was being shown.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As a first year petroleum engineering Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ, I appreciated that everything I had learned so far was relevant to what was being talked about or demonstrated so the day really bolstered my hunger to learn more about this industry.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The staff who organised and ran this event have obviously put so much work into making the day such a fantastic day. At no time was it boring or lacklustre.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • BP was like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Everyone is so happy and welcoming. What a place!

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • So cram in so much in one day was unreal. It's only two days since the event, but I'm still buzzing!

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I applied for this event as it was offering an insight into the particular area of expertise that I would like to develop my skills, so what was on offer gave me a great insight into the role within the company.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Once again, a great insight.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • To benefit from such a wonderful experience without having to pay out for travel (they even arrange the train tickets!) - how much better could it be!

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • From senior managers to newly graduated recruits, they were all there to chat with.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • We were able to lunch with BP staff who were very affable and charming.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not so much emphasis on this but to be fair we would probably have to spend another day there to cover that and what was covered.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Without a doubt! In fact, I would recommend it to everyone interested in this industry.

    5/5
