About You
I came home so excited, I've had some really unuseful careers interveiws before so didn't have high expectations for this but it was really useful
Staff were all very friendly and more than happy to answer questions. There was a free lunch and refreshments and a free pen bag and hoodie.
The leaders were very helpful and I felt like I was never left alone to struggle, there was always someone there to help.
It wasn't directly linked to my degree and not sure it would be much use there, but it is definitely useful for considering pathways after university.
The Company
Very structured, everything ran smoothly and we packed a lot in.
Really fantastic, we learnt a lot and had fun too!
I felt like we were invested in deeply because there were lots of resources & it had been really well planned.
I talked to some employees and gained a good insight of what it is like to work for BP.
Ovbiously they want to leave us with a good impression but I did feel like it would be a nice place to work, like they cared about individuals
I will definietly be applying for a summer internship next year and hopefully that will be the start of my career as a petrophysicist
Everything Else
I booked my train tickets through their travel company and it was paid by them from the start
Yes, we meet lots of newly recruited graduates who were very helpful and shared their experiences with us.
I really enjoyed the 'industry lunch' where we had informal discussions about topical events. Also the presentations evening was very interesting and a good opportunity to see what other teams had done.
I think football was mentioned but this wasn't really emphazised
definitely worth it, really interesting and a quick way to see if it is for you are not
