About You
The whole experience taught me so much about the oil and gas industry. The employees running the insight created an atmosphere for learning and entertained us along the way.
They placed huge emphasis on how to develop from the insight day, to applying for an internship, graduate opportunities and ultimately a life long career with BP.
There were loads of graduates around to help and offer advice. They could relate to us as they were in our position not too long ago,
Teamwork, perseverance and communication were put to the test and developed during the insight. I also learnt business skills that have broadened my understanding of the 'real' world and will come into play when applying for jobs on graduating.
The Company
The few days spent with BP was obviously thoroughly planned so that it went off without a hitch.
All those involved in the production of the insight were full of enthusiasm and passion for the content delivered.
BP are absolutely excellent at engaging you and really make you feel as though they're willing to help you through.
It was clearly explained and talks from current employees were invaluable.
It gave an excellent insight into the culture and different roles that are available within BP.
The visit day definitely persuaded me to want to work for BP; it's such a brilliant company with a million and one opportunities and lots of flexibility.
Everything Else
All travel/accommodation expenses were reimbursed fully.
There were talks from both graduates and higher up specialists and managers which were extremely insightful!
Really great, everyone was willing to answer questions and there were plenty of people to talk to.
Many of the sites that BP has, have gyms or outdoor activities that you can get involved in. Also, it is possible to get involved in campus teams as an employee which I thought would be brilliant.
The experience is fantastic and will definitely sway you if you're unsure as to whether to apply or not.
