About You
I thought the hands on and interactive approach was excellent.
It was flattering that I was being given this opportunity at such an early stage in my development.
There was always somebody there to bounce ideas off or help steer you in the right direction.
It gave early experience as to working on a real project with everyone taking on a role and shouldering responsibility for that role.
The Company
I thought the structure was excellent, the right amount of work and rest balance.
Extremely positive and encouraging.
The opportunity to attend the conference was the investment in me. I feel already that it was massively beneficial to my understanding of the oil and gas industry.
I thought the graduates presenting their experiences was great, giving current experiences of what its like to work for BP.
It came across as a very positive and supportive culture. Everyone seems very happy in their job and the way their career at BP has progressed.
I was sure before I attended the conference that I would want to work in oil and gas but the conference definitely helped me understand the industry better.
Everything Else
train ticketes were paid for
Yes, the presentation on social networking and advertising was very interesting. As a result of that presentation I set up a LinkedIn account
I thought the dinners were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the dinner the first night where we discussed controversial topics affecting oil and gas. It gave great insight to how different the views are of people working in the same industry.
It was interesting to hear from the current graduates how social the graduate schemes and internships are.
An excellent experience and would highly recommend to anybody seriously considering a career in oil and gas.
