About You
It was nice to have a look at the working environment the different facilities that were on offer and also to talk to people in the graduate scheme. However, since I had been to events held by BP at my uni, a lot of the information was already familiar to me.
People were very helpful and took the time to talk to you and answer any question.
Someone was always there to help.
The information will not necessarily help me with my degree but it was good to look at the different facilities on offer.
The Company
Very well structured, although some things went above or below the allocated time, this did not cause much problem.
There was a friendly atmosphere and everyone was very helpful.
I felt like the company made a lot of effort to showcase itself well.
Talking to the people in the graduate scheme was helpful in giving an insight to what it would be like to work for the company. I am still a bit unsure as to how the roles and responsibility changes after you complete the graduate scheme.
I felt I learnt a lot about the values of the company.
The most helpful parts of the day was looking at the different facilities and the tips for applying for the graduate scheme.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed for the travel expenses.
There were many people involved in different aspects of the company. It might have been more helpful to have more people who were not in the graduate scheme as well.
Having lunch and networking makes it slightly less formal and therefore made it easier to network.
This was well explained by some of the people on the graduate scheme.
It is very helpful in finding more about BP as a company and their graduate scheme, however, there are slight overlaps with events held in uni by BP.
