About You
The event gave access to very interesting people. Able to ask any questions about the industry, how it currently works and what has changed. They made the most of the location operations being able to speak to control center operators on the rig via webcam. It was sometging that no length of Interet research could provide.
Even through we were just visitors for the day, everyone was very friendly and open to answer any questions about their role and career experiences.
Not only did I recieve lots of new unformation about the company and the industry but HR were great in giving advice about the applocation proccess. They explained the several steps required to succure a job and told us what the many thing caridates failed on.
As it was only for the day, I did not gain my skills but it did provide motivation and greater focus for my university studies.
The Company
Very well organize, a variety of speaker from different departments and great to see some of the intersdting site operations eg visual display room and operations support department.
Very relaxed , all members of staff were happy to answer questions.
It was only for a day but significant time and money was invested in me and the other attending Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs.
Being able to ask a variety of employees questions, especially being about to ask questions to staff workibg offshore by live webcam. It was very interesting to being able to visit Aberdeen and get a feel of what it is lie to work in ab oil town.
The company values were clearly displayed in the way they did and spoke about thing, especially HR. Including holding the hand rail going up and down stairs
Very inspiring day, that will help to motivate me through my university work and the opportunities and rewards are amazing in the oil and gas industry.
Everything Else
Very generously and accomadating reimbursed for expenses. There should be no or very litte cost for any attending Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ.
During lunch time a number of additional employees, graduates and experience d staff were avaible to talk to openly.
Not just for networking with BP but also great for chatting with other engineer s from around the country.
The graduates gave some in sight into their life activities after work and how they made the most of the site location.
This ia great opportunity for any engineer that is interested not just BP but the oil and gas industry in general. The day is well organize and you are well supported by BP financial for travel and accommodation.
