About You
The whole experience taught me so much about the oil and gas industry. The employees running the insight created an atmosphere for learning and entertained us along the way.
They placed huge emphasis on how to develop from the insight day, to applying for an internship, graduate opportunities and ultimately a life long career with BP.
There were loads of graduates around to help and offer advice. They could relate to us as they were in our position not too long ago,
Teamwork, perseverance and communication were put to the test and developed during the insight. I also learnt business skills that have broadened my understanding of the 'real' world and will come into play when applying for jobs on graduating.
The Company
The few days spent with BP was obviously thoroughly planned so that it went off without a hitch.
All those involved in the production of the insight were full of enthusiasm and passion for the content delivered.
They truly are interested in developing us on to become potential BP employers.
We focused on numerous areas of an oil and gas business so I had insight into many different jobs within the firm.
BP has a strong focus on getting the best out of its employees and this really came across.
I am still very unsure about my career paths and choices. However, seeing how much their employees love their jobs, has caused me to want to perhaps pursue a career with BP.
Everything Else
All travel, hotel, food and drink costs were covered.
Each session, a different BP graduate would work with each group. This was great in finding out about many varied roles within BP.
The graduates were easy to talk to and gave as much detail about their jobs as possible. They brought the information on a very personal level.
We found that the graduate scheme has a budget for social events outside of work.
Most definitely. I learnt so much from those couple of days.
