The Role
Throughly enjoyed my time, the working was challenging but not impossible. It help developed my skills which I was weak on when I first started. An overall success!
Everyone were very friendly and welcoming. We had a number of socials with my department and with the other interns which were a good laugh.
Any problems or queires my line manager was always there to help me. Thank you Alistair!!!
Overall a good balance was struck between the two. Somedays you maybe busier than others days but there was always work to be getting on with.
Large amounts of responsibility, I helped identify problems which they hadn't seen before and they took on board my ideas and thoughs that I had.
Presentation training was given and having the chance to present your working to some of the best in the industry was great.
The Company
The general atmostphere was good, a little quiet at times for me, as I do like to talk. Although saying that the admin assitant always had a good chat with me.
Overall it was well organised, the introduction day ran smoothly and communication was very good from HR. However there is room for improvement in some areas. The main and major issue I had was with accommodation which really needs to be addressed. The accommodation offered was substandard- the shower was terrible, one house didn't have hot water and we got told that it was a short walk to the station. However when I did that walk it took 25mins! That is not a short walk for a morning! On top of that I started early (due to my masters) and no advice was given on accommodation for the first month and ended up in a hotel in Feltham which I would not recommend. BP please take note!
Lots of expertises and training availible on and off site.

The Culture
Great social scene. Love going out with the interns, probably spent too much money but was definitely worth the drunk nights out in London!
It's London so it's expensive but if you go out early on friday there is a happy hour!
Egham where we stayed was poor, good pubs but little nightlife. Although London on the other hand was great; taxis and drink prices were expensive but the sooner you accept it the more you enjoy London (also you are earning alot of money for an intern probably one of the best in the country so no big deal!).
Lots...going out for meals, wakeboarding, pub/ bar crawls, thorpe park, BBQs...etc...etc...etc
