The Role
The overall experience was organised well and made it easy to get the most out of it
The work that I was given had real impact on the company. It wasn't just work to keep me busy
From H.R to line managers, there is always someone to help you or speak with about issues
There was a good level of work set to keep you busy and on top of that you can carry out as much extra learning as you want.
As I mentioned, the work added real value to the team and this was reiterated throughout
It has given me skills that you can't learn through education and have to experience to gain
The Company
I wasn't in the new BP office so it didn't have a great atmosphere but the people were still as friendly
The application process was dealt with very fast and the whole placement was arranged with a solid structure
I had the chance to go to any site visit, manufacturer or learning day (within reason) and this is something that really made the placement excellent. Seeing processes and equipment in person makes the understanding that much easier. Expense was not an issue if the opportunity to learn something new was possible! I highly recommend BP for this reason and I feel that Aberdeen in particular allows for this.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
After my placement experience I feel that BP is a great company to work for as thy really do look after their people. They invests in peoples knowledge and abilities to allow for constant development. The industry itself is very exciting too.
The Culture
Lot of events and things to do
Fairly expensive
There are many different places to go to and the people are all up for a good time
There's plenty to get involved with
