  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very good fun. Lots of great people to work with.

  • Totally accepted as a member of the team from the first day.

  • As much support as I asked for, although I did have to ask for it... They expected you to be pro-active in this.

  • As busy as I wanted to be as I was organising my projects almost entirely under my own direction.

  • Total responsebility for my projects!

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The nature of my projects were similar in scope to a 3rd year research project, and so I've gained LOADS of skills & experience which is going to be VERY valuable in the coming year (and beyond).

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very quiet & studious, but with everyone also very friendly.

  • Nothing to complain about. They have plenty of interns so know what they're doing.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was some training given (which was REALLY well done), but not much... It felt they wanted to see what you were like 'as you are'.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement Î÷¹ÏÊÓÆµs/colleagues?
  • The other interns were lovely. A really great bunch of people. Those who took the company suggested halls to live in definetly had an advantage with the social scene as they were living together.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London! Although, at least we weren't based in the centre!

  • Very little imediately around the office, but everyone goes into the city for a night out.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • LOADS of things to do. Lots of commities for various events & competitions, team based, intern based and company wide.
