The Role
It was an enjoyable experience as the people were very welcoming and always willing to help. Having other interns there also add to the enjoyment as they are in the same boat. It was definitely a worthwile experience in the insurance industry.
The employees treated me as an equal and not just a summer intern.
My manager made sure we were always heading in the right direction, but not too overbearing on the projects I was undertaking. Helped me to develop goals and ways in which I could reach them.
There were days that were busier than others, but the majority of the time I had things to do.
Given responsibility of projects that people had been previously working on, allowed to have ownership.
Many transferrable skills received, specifically how to act in a corporate environment which will be invaluable for my future career.
The Company
Busy atmosphere, quiet on a few days though.
I was assigned projects to work on throughout and the internship flowed.
Had regular feedback sessions.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I hope to be offered a place on the graduate scheme .
The Culture
The interns all made good friends and socialised often.
Quite expensive, but was living at home so saved costs there.
Was good but a litttle expensive.
The interns socialised often, and there were also team meals out and a summer party.
