About You
Insightful experience provided through interactive sessions, including meeting graduates in relevant degrees, and hearing the perspective of BP employees having worked there for a number of years
Staff are very welcoming, the entire arrangement, from start (in the morning) to finish was coordinated with Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ interests in mind, this was especially pertinent as arrangements were made for prayer facilities during the BP experience.
A formal and informal question and answer session was hosted providing insight into the companies future strategies and how graduates can play a part in BP's future. The Q&A also including talking with recent graduate's with BP who shared their experience of working in their respective roles.
The BP Discovery Day is catered to those wishing to find out more about BP, and this is achieved through facts and findings throughout the day, including lab tours which is particularly important if your degree lays any emphasis on lab work.
The Company
The days events were organised to enable Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs to understand the fundamental work BP is involved in, and then throughout the day t build up on that information with aid of lab tours.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Costs of travel to the venue were reimbursed, and buffet style food was served on the day, thus no cost on the Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs behalf except time.
The interesting thing about the BP Discovery Day is that it raises more questions about working at BP, thus providing the drive to find out more about BP>
The day's experience was relatively short (8 hours), however based on the time present at BP, the staff where friendly and helpful.
The days events are run with medium sized Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ groups (15), so a varied classification of degree streams, allowing for a diverse set of experiences that does not necessarily focus on one particular area.
Everything Else
I was reimbursed expenses.
The days event was organised in such a manner that Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs only came into contact with staff who were directly linked to the days events, thus networking opportunities were limited.
Networking session was hosted around the buffet style eatery.
Discussions with graduates hinted at what they get upto in their free time.
yes I would recommend this insight to a friend.
