About You
Really good day with talks from long time employees, recent graduates and then a small game at the end of the day.
Everyone was happy to answer questions.
This question is kind of irrelevant as this was only a one day discovery day.
The day did not help develop skills, but did help me a lot to think about what path I may take with further education and so in this respect the day assisted me in my studies and beyond a lot.
The Company
As mentioned above, the day was well structured with talks, a site tour and then a small game at the end: there was no un-filled downtime and the day flowed well.
Everyone (both BP employees and Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ attendees) was very easy to talk to and as a result the insight had a good atmosphere.
Not really applicable due to this being just a one day event.
The talks by the recent graduates were titled "A day at BP" (or something along those lines), and so were very useful with respect to having an insight into what it would be like to have a full time role with the company.
Again, the recent graduate talks mentioned a lot about what it was like to work at BP in terms of the culture (e.g. the events held specifically for the employees on the graduate scheme/pathway).
The day did not really help me decide my future career path as such, but did make me realise why I might like to want to work for BP as a company.
Everything Else
Travel was reimbursed.
This was not really a networking event, but we did meet employees of the company.
N/A
As mentioned above, the graduates talked about the social events held company wide and just for those employees on the graduate pathway.
Yes, if that friend wanted to know more about working at BP. This was not a general, oil and gas industry wide insight day.
