About You
BP Discovery Day - Highly informative and great for the CV/a springboard to further BP events.
It was apparent BP were trying to 'sell' the company to us. This made me feel valued as they obviously wanted us to join their team.
There was plenty of individuals there from graduates to directors at BP to ask questions of
Obviously in one day I did not directly learn large masses of information. Yet the general skills and seeing engineering applied in the real world is always beneficial
The Company
Very well you are kept busy all day without feeling exhausted and there is still enough time to get to know everyone. One lab tour was cut short because of time which was a bit disappointing
Everyone was highly positive there appeared a good working environment. Although I take this with a small pinch of salt because obviously they are trying to sell the company to you!
Hard to answer because it was just an insight but some of the interns said they spent 10% of their time in training.
Lots of individuals to talk to. A lot of 'day in the life' explanations. Number of career stories given I feel I have a good idea of working life at BP
Helped greatly. The general office atmosphere was evident from the graduates that spoke to us. Everybody seemed to enjoy their job and work hard yet there was still room for fun. Great work/life balance.
Highly I attended thinking BP would be one of many employers I might apply to now I feel they are my number 1 choice
Everything Else
Just applied for my expenses so as of yet I have not been reimbursed. However, I flew from Edinburgh to London and BP is covering these costs and there was individuals there from Austria. BP seem to have a good budget to cover expenses
As previously mentioned lots of chances to talk to current employees
Yes my table had a very social atmosphere the people were lovely and I left with the phone numbers of all my colleagues
Yes all the graduates mentioned out of work activities from skiing to drinking
Definitely, I don't understand why you wouldn't attend. It's free and such a good opportunity
