The Role
It was hard work getting the project finished within 8 weeks but it was worth it.
Everyone was really helpful and friendly and supported me all the way.
I was given a huge amount of support however as it was my project i guided myself for most of time.
I was mostly busy however as i had to set tasks for myself some days i did more than others.
I managed the whole project on my own.
I think the skills i gained from the placement can be transferred to other job roles after university. Also the commercial awareness i gained has been very helpful towards my understanding of business.
The Company
The culture of the company was very fun and laid back and i felt i fit in very well.
I think that the initial and mid term review run by shell step were very helpful and the final awards day was a good way to finish the placement.
The development I received was mainly from just being at the company and learning from them so i didn鈥檛 really receive any direct training.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I left on very good terms with the company and would definitely return for part time work during holidays.
The Culture
I only met fellow interns on a couple of occasions at reviews etc but we had a good time together. I also got along with my fellow employees very well and went on a few social events with them.
i lived at home.
i didn't go out in the area i worked.
A few including a day at York races.
