    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was an interesting day although due to the shortness there could have been a lot more packed in! However I think the placement is a really unique and original opportunity!

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone was very friendly and welcoming

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • We were supported by an intern and various senior members of her team throughout the day

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There could have been a few more things packed into the day but it was great to finish earl as it meant we avoided rush hour!

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • This isn't applicable, we weren't given any independent projects but our intern seemed to have a lot of responsibility and she had modified the aims of her project and changed them to suit what she was finding so she seemed to have a lot of freedom.

    1/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Definitely interesting to see how the science I am studying can be applied in real life.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was really friendly, it seemed like a great working environment.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Generally good although there were a couple of pauses in the day when we didn't have much to do.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested a lot of time from the various business reps that took the time to come and speak to us and answer our questions about the work they do.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I think the future prospects were very appealing, they take a whole range of science and other discipline graduates.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs/colleagues?
  • There seemed to be, more so than in any other company I have done a placement with!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not applicable as I didn't live there but the intern I was shadowing had managed to arrange some very cheap accommodation as the offices are not in central london.

    5/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I didn't get to see this myself but I was told it was good!

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We didn't really get a chance to find out about this but there seemed to be some sports club that ran and a discounted gym membership was available.

    4/5
