The Role
A hugely enjoyable day. Intellectually stimulating and varied.
I was only there for one day, but the intern I was shadowing was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome.
N/A
For the day I was there we had talks, looked at posters, I was showed programmes and simulations on the computer and attended a meeting. Busy day!
I was only shadowing an intern, so this is not applicable.
It gave me a taste of how geophysics is used in real life, which motivated me to continue with geophysics in my studies.
The Company
Evidently an office in which everyone worked extremely hard, but also an open and friendly atmosphere.
Clearly a event that has been in place and running well for many years. I was put in contact with the intern I would be following and we organised the day amongst ourselves.
Not applicable, I was only there for one day.
I would love to work for this company. The job is intellectually challenging and the working conditions seem very pleasant.
The Culture
On the internship programme as well as the graduate challenger years I have heard that the social life is excellent, and that there are many activities to help everyone to make friends.
It was in Sunbury, so I hazard a guess that it's an expensive area (not that I had chance to test this on my day.)
I don't know, I was only there for one day.
Apparently there are many.
